Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helen Salvacion (ranked 24168 p4p, 23810 weight class) and Virgin Mary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Virgin Mary!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mary as he avoids it easily.

and Mary counters with a good, hard body kick but Salvacion shrugs it off.
Horrible takedown attempt by Salvacion or perhaps it was just good defense by Mary, which made it look bad.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mary fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Salvacion sprawls well initially but Mary persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mary decides to stand back up. Mary steps back and let's Salvacion get back to his feet.

Salvacion leaves Mary with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Salvacion tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mary defends well and Salvacion ends up having to push Mary into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Mary closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Salvacion's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mary decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Mary feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
