Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alex gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crash Holly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). gonzales comes into the arena with Hurricane Chris - Hand Clap blaring out of the sound system. Holly is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Slow Death. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holly misses with a few strikes there.
gonzales tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The fighters circle momentarily. Holly darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Holly throws a lazy right hand but gonzales sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Holly tries to bench press gonzales off him but gonzales keeps the position.

Holly is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. gonzales knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften gonzales for a finish.

Crash Holly seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Holly throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent gonzales stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Holly uses his free foot to push down on gonzales's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for gonzales.

Crash Holly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

gonzales changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Holly looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Holly is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! gonzales has his hands clasped together but Holly extends an breaks gonzales's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Holly.
