Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Askrew (ranked 2742 p4p, 2690 weight class) and Ganny Kogir (ranked 353 p4p, 343 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Askrew! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ganny Kogir! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Kogir does no damage. Askrew feinted with a counter takedown. Kogir looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Askrew doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kogir throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kogir cracks Askrew with a good jab. Kogir lands a head shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kogir jabs Askrew to the body, keeping him at a distance. Kogir cracks Askrew with a right hand to the side of the head. Kogir misses with an uppercut
and Askrew counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kogir really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Askrew. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Askrew is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kogir won't allow Askrew to pass to mount. Askrew looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kogir is looking to escape. Kogir is looking for a sweep. Askrew is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Askrew is working for a submission of some sort.
Kogir looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kogir is trying to get back to full guard. Askrew has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kogir defend it? Askrew steps over the head and cranks it - Kogir is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Askrew!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ben Askrew! Ben Askrew made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I am the only undefeated fighter at the this weight that makes 6 in a row, whats a man got to do to get a title shot'.
