The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernado throws a head kick that misses
and John counters with a right hand to the body.
Bernado looks to throw a body kick
and Bernado takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
John tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bernado was well out of range. Poor timing from John.
Bernado throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bernado takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Max Bernado has been cut.
Bernado is looking to slow John down with leg kicks.
We've been told by John's head coaches at - Is It Avatary Enough? that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
John throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bernado on the side of the head.
Bernado throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Bernado escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
John has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bernado.

letting John counter with a right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and John counters with a huge left! Bernado is in big trouble! He's backing up but John isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Bernado from any more damage. A dominating finish by John!
