Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Da Silva (ranked 2931 p4p, 3110 weight class) and Jack Poz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alejandro Da Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Poz!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Poz.
Da Silva is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Poz.

and Da Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Poz wants to control but Da Silva is keeping busy.
Poz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Poz.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Da Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Poz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Da Silva could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Da Silva drops back looking for a leg! Poz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Poz manages to kick Da Silva off! Da Silva jumps back into Poz's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poz will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Poz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Poz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Da Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Da Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Poz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Poz is looking for a triangle but Da Silva pushes his legs off easily.

Da Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Poz's guard.

Poz is controlling Da Silva's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Da Silva is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Poz to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Da Silva is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Poz is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
