Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Prohor Georgiev (ranked 1085 p4p, 790 weight class) and Kollaa River (ranked 139 p4p, 106 weight class). River has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

River fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Georgiev looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
River tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Georgiev was well out of range. Poor timing from River.

River is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
River lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Georgiev circles away quickly and effectively.

River scores with a jab. Georgiev acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Georgiev lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and River has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from River and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

River is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Georgiev had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
River misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Georgiev.

A little jabbing left from River on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
River bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Georgiev's head backwards.
Georgiev throws a leg kick which misses River's front leg but catches the back leg as River tries to avoid it.
That kick from Georgiev tenderised River's leg. River is trying to keep his angry face on.

Georgiev does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

River swings for the body but Georgiev moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Georgiev looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

River loads up on a big right hand but Georgiev slips the punch.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Georgiev might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

River walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Georgiev drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! River swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Georgiev's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

A relieved looking Kollaa River thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
