Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Libor Lunak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aythami Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia misses with a two punch combination.

Garcia gets a double leg takedown into Lunak's guard.
Garcia trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Lunak keeping full guard, as Garcia tries to pass.
Lunak knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Garcia on the ground.
Garcia working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garcia's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garcia pushing down on Lunak's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Garcia takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Garcia has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Garcia thows a huge punch but Lunak dodges it nicely.
Garcia is looking to take a break and control but Lunak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Garcia stops Lunak from getting back to his feet.
Lunak is staying active underneath Garcia, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Garcia is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Lunak tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Garcia manages to move to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lunak squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Garcia with the ground and pound from mount.
Lunak trying desperately to get to his feet.
Garcia controlling the pace for now.

Garcia is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lunak to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lunak shrugs it off.

Garcia looking to ground and pound but Lunak is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lunak is trying to stand up.
Garcia punching from mount but Lunak doing a good job of avoiding damage.
You get the feeling that Lunak really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Garcia lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Lunak hang on?
Garcia trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Lunak is trying to stand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Garcia throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Garcia misses with a head shot.

Garcia is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lunak is surviving well by controlling Garcia's body position as best he can.
Garcia is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Garcia thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Garcia sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Lunak takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Aythami Garcia dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lunak lets loose with a powerful body kick. Garcia will feel that in the morning.

Lunak lands a big head kick that sends Garcia tumbling to the mat! Lunak takes a step backwards and waves Garcia back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Aythami Garcia has been cut.
Lunak misses with a head kick.
Garcia doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Lunak delivers a nice body kick.
Garcia avoids the head kick by Lunak.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Garcia! But no joy.
Garcia has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lunak misses with a head kick.
Lunak lands a brutal head kick. Garcia looks out on his feet and Lunak throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
