Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Blimey (ranked 4631 p4p, 4688 weight class) and Jeremy Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 528 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Blimey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Thompson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blimey tests Thompson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Jeremy Thompson has been cut. Blimey jabbing away but nothing is landing. Thompson tries to counter with a clinch but Blimey shakes him off and moves away. Thompson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Thompson misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Thompson tries to score with some ground and pound. Blimey controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Blimey seems a little lost for a moment, as Thompson dominates the positioning. Thompson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Thompson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Blimey scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Blimey throws a body punch but Thompson moves out of range. Thompson steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Thompson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thompson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thompson working Blimey over with strikes. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Thompson lands a nice short elbow. Thompson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Blimey sees it coming and defends easily. Thompson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Blimey on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Blimey tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Thompson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Thompson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Blimey has managed to free his arm - good work. Thompson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Blimey keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thompson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Blimey throws out a loose jab but Thompson uses good head movement to avoid it. And Thompson tries to counter it with a takedown but Blimey pushes his down on his head and steps out. Thompson darts in looking for a takedown but Blimey gets double underhooks and turns Thompson into the cage. Blimey lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Blimey getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Blimey feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Thompson sprawling to the canvas! Thompson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Blimey finish him?!
Thompson is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Blimey measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Thompson! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
