Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Phet Mongkut (ranked 2749 p4p, 3374 weight class) and Peter Kropotkin (ranked 272 p4p, 324 weight class). Mongkut's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Piphat Ensemble. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phet Mongkut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mongkut connects with a leg kick.
Mongkut moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mongkut definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
No joy there for Kropotkin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mongkut displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kropotkin throws out the jab.

Phet Mongkut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kropotkin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Kropotkin in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
