Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Faron Cardoso (ranked 6043 p4p, 4621 weight class) and Jonan Brez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Faron Cardoso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jonan Brez! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cardoso tries to sprawl but Brez drives through with a takedown into half guard. Cardoso looking for submissions off his back. Cardoso looking for submissions off his back. Cardoso gets full guard. Brez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cardoso. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cardoso has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cardoso. Cardoso struggling a bit here. Cardoso is looking to regain half guard here but Brez keeps moving and retains side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cardoso is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Cardoso tries to get to full guard but Brez has control of the leg. Brez thows a huge punch but Cardoso dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brez decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Brez slaps away a takedown attempt from Cardoso, before circling back to the center of the mat. Cardoso looking to score a takedown here. Brez is defending well but Cardoso drives through and ends up in Brez's guard. Brez trying to keep a closed guard but Cardoso is proving a slippery customer.
Cardoso is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Brez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cardoso is one step ahead there. Cardoso thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cardoso might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Cardoso drops back looking for a leg! Brez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brez manages to kick Cardoso off! Cardoso jumps back into Brez's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brez throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Brez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cardoso is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Brez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Brez has escaped and now he's on top!
Cardoso is looking to cinch up a triangle. Brez throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Cardoso's body to avoid the submission. Cardoso has instead reached around Brez's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Cardoso arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
