Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Goku Okaza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kane Yamamoto! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamamoto closes the distance and clinches up with Okaza, looking for a takedown. Yamamoto pushes Okaza against the cage but Okaza circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Yamamoto looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Okaza is fending him off so far but Yamamoto persists. Nope, Okaza circles away and we're back to standing. Okaza changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. No luck with that takedown attempt from Yamamoto. Goku Okaza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kane Yamamoto. Yamamoto dives in for a single leg takedown but Okaza sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Okaza tries to counter by clinching up but Yamamoto breaks away and moves out of range. Yamamoto shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Okaza but Okaza pushes him off and we're back to square one. Okaza appears to be looking for a counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yamamoto has a takedown stuffed.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamamoto misses with a takedown attempt and Okaza counters with a shoot takedown. Yamamoto fights it but they end up in guard. Yamamoto looks winded! Yamamoto had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Okaza defends it easily. Okaza is looking to stand up but Yamamoto won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamamoto pushes a forearm under Okaza's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Okaza is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
