Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jurdy Postman (ranked 25103 p4p, 24282 weight class) and Josh Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jurdy Postman could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Josh Peters's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jurdy Postman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josh Peters!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Postman clinches up with Peters and pushes him back against the cage.

Peters manages to break the clinch.

Postman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Peters wants to improve his position but Postman is controlling well.
Postman landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Postman passes to side control.
Peters is letting Postman control him for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peters tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Postman presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Postman has control of Peters's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Peters regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Postman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Peters is trying to escape the mount but Postman keeps good control and instead manages to take Peters's back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Postman wants to control but Peters is keeping busy.
Postman lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Peters.

Postman looking to break Peters's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Peters remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Postman will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Peters is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Postman gets his way!

Peters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Postman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Postman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Peters for as long as he can get away with.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Postman.

Postman thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Peters throws a front kick aimed at Postman's knee but Postman avoids it well.
Postman blocks a low kick nicely.
Postman looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Postman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Peters gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Postman to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Peters wants to get back to his feet but Postman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Postman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Peters isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Postman stacks Peters on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Postman!

Postman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Postman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Peters is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Postman with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Postman is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Peters is defending well though. Postman let's go of the attempt for now.

Postman is persistently looking for the submission but Peters is defending it well.
A lull in the action here.

Postman has the hooks in. Peters is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Postman looks to land a combination but Peters avoids it well.
Peters lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Postman looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Peters shoots in but no luck this time.

Postman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Peters looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Postman is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Peters to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Peters shrugs it off.

Postman is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Peters defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Will Postman go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Postman is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Postman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
