Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colin Penn (ranked 1946 p4p, 2761 weight class) and John Okafor (ranked 243 p4p, 338 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Penn might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The End. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Colin Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Okafor!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Okafor moves away.
Okafor lands a body shot.
Penn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Okafor sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Okafor shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Penn eats them both and turns towards Okafor to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Okafor swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Penn swinging wildly here.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Okafor! But no joy.
Penn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Okafor.
Penn drops down looking for a counter takedown but Okafor sprawls and moves away.

Penn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Okafor's guard.
Okafor working a defensive guard but Penn passes into half guard.

Penn is working for a submission of some sort.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Penn is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Okafor manages to get to full guard.
Okafor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Penn forces his way into half guard.
Penn trying to pass the guard but Okafor defending well.
Okafor is trying to control but can't.
Okafor is not content to let Penn control the position.
Okafor slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Penn wants to control from the top but Okafor keeps moving.
Okafor trying to strike off his back.
Okafor throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Okafor keeping moving, preventing Penn from controlling successfully.

Penn drops back looking for a leg! Okafor is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Okafor manages to kick Penn off! Penn jumps back into Okafor's guard.

Okafor is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Penn rolls with it to try and escape but Okafor cranks on the arm and Penn is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). John Okafor!
John Okafor thanked the fans post fight for their support.
The defeated Colin Penn had this to say: 'Oh well. Not a bad loss the guy beat me tonight, I don't feel bad.'.
