Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between charley champion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxwell has chosen Basket Case as his entrance music. champion has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Juan Maxwell will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Maxwell moves into the clinch.
champion looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Maxwell decides to pull guard.
Maxwell has his foot on champion's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. champion works his way back into a safe position though.
Maxwell wants to stand but champion is controlling the position.
champion drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Maxwell manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now champion has Maxwell in his guard.

champion escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Maxwell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Maxwell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Maxwell lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear champion down.

Maxwell decides to stand back up.

Maxwell is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and champion has latched onto it... Big trouble! champion pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Maxwell is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from champion!
