Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Papi Squalli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johnny Longboat! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Squalli misses with a jab, cross combination.
Longboat looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Squalli drops Longboat with a beautiful combination! Longboat stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Squalli is looking for the KO!
It looks like Johnny Longboat has been cut. Squalli throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Longboat's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Squalli dives in looking to finish as Longboat flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Squalli's strikes! Squalli is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Longboat's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Longboat was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
