Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pawel Nastula (ranked 5705 p4p, 4013 weight class) and Jack Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pawel Nastula!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Walker!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nastula pinned against the cage. Nastula gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Walker's corner calls for a 1-2. Walker obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Walker digs a good hook to Nastula's body.
Walker misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nastula.
Walker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker wants to clinch but Nastula slips to the side
and Nastula counters with a single leg into guard. Walker didn't expect that.

Walker has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Nastula has passed into side control.
Walker tries to buck Nastula off but Nastula is having none of it.
Nastula tries for a kimura but Walker is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Walker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Walker manages to work his way to half guard, despite Nastula's best efforts.

Walker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nastula's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nastula's back!

Walker is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Walker gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Walker gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Walker apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Walker throws a sloppy head kick and Nastula moves out of range easily.
Walker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nastula's waist but Nastula gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walker off to one side.
Nastula swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Nastula really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nastula swings around for an armbar but Walker sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nastula's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Pawel Nastula will probably get the nod.

Walker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nastula is fending him off so far but Walker persists. Nope, Nastula circles away and we're back to standing.

And Nastula counters with a quick kick to the body but Walker blocks it.

Walker shoots in looking for a takedown. Nastula tries to sprawl out of it but Walker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nastula manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Walker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nastula.

Walker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nastula gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nastula makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Nastula postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Walker is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nastula, into his guard.

Well Nastula has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
