The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McGee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McGee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Munson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McGee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Munson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
McGee wants to clinch up but Munson keeps it at a distance.
Robert Munson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McGee's coach down at Cozad MMA New York was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on McGee's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

It looked like Munson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from McGee.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Munson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Munson presses McGee against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Munson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McGee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Munson is tightening it up a little... McGee has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! McGee reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! McGee taps out! Nice BJJ there by Munson!
