Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hinski Grang (ranked 1015 p4p, 1014 weight class) and Eliz Gracie (ranked 147 p4p, 145 weight class). Grang comes to the cage accompanied by JID - Ed, Edd & Eddy. Gracie has chosen Cant be touched as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie dives in for a single leg takedown but Grang sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

and Grang counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Gracie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Grang's half guard.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but Grang is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gracie shoots for a takedown but Grang saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grang tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grang to the ground. Grang escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Grang was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Grang was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Hinski Grang was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
In defeat, Eliz Gracie stepped up to the mic, saying 'Great job to Hinski Grang, to everyone, Hinskis the better man, he showed tonight, Obviously i'm heartbroken but what can I do? I can't change what happened, obviously because I should've focused on that when it was happening, but i'll be back guys, maybe not for the title yet but i'll be back.i '.
