Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Vincent Askew (ranked 5397 p4p, 24768 weight class) and Harley Washington (ranked 536 p4p, 645 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Vincent Askew has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Vincent Askew seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vincent Askew! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harley Washington! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Washington tries to score with a low kick but Askew moves his leg out of the way. Askew tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Washington manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Washington throws a head kick but Askew moves out of range.
Askew avoids a kick to the body.
Askew sizes up Washington with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Askew swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Askew gets a clinch. Askew breaks from the clinch.
Askew misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Askew forces Washington back against the cage and clinches. Askew effectively controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Askew pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. An inside leg kick lands from Askew. Askew misses with a head kick.
Washington moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Askew's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Washington dodges the punch combination from Askew.
Washington takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Askew throws a wild body kick that Washington sees coming a mile off. Askew tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Washington is trying to counter with his kicks. Harley Washington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Washington misses with a head kick.
It looked like Askew was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Washington misses with an uppercut. Askew closes the distance and clinches. Askew pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Washington thows a leg kick but Askew checks it and Askew counters by moving into the clinch. Askew breaks from the clinch.
Askew throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Askew tries to clinch up but Washington circles away and keeps his distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Askew checks the leg kick. Askew tries to clinch up but Washington circles away and keeps his distance. Askew will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Washington checks a leg kick. Washington throws a fast counter high kick but Askew manages to duck under it in time. Harley Washington is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Washington throws a leg kick and Washington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Askew moves into the clinch. Askew breaks from the clinch.
Washington closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Washington lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Askew backwards. Washington looking to stall.
Washington wants to get back to striking at distance but Askew won't allow it.
Washington is looking to break free of the clinch but Askew has double underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Askew breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Askew circles away from the clinch attempt.
Askew connects with a right hand. Washington shakes it off. Askew wants to clinch. Askew is looking to clinch but Washington is avoiding it.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Washington! But no joy. Washington throws a body kick that misses. Askew swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Askew counters with a big 3 punch combo that drops Washington on his ass! Washington wobbles back to his feet half way through the count and though looking a bit dazed, the referee is going to allow the fight to continue!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Washington keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Askew lands a head kick that bluckles Washington and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Askew no doubt looking to push for a finish!
Washington is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Askew grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Washington takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Askew cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
