PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mono Loco (ranked 2410 p4p, 1336 weight class) and Lusmu Kutvonen (ranked 245 p4p, 135 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loco fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kutvonen! But no joy.
Loco shoots in looking for a takedown. Kutvonen tries to sprawl out of it but Loco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kutvonen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Loco dives in and grabs Kutvonen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kutvonen pushes down on Loco's head and hops out.
Kutvonen looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Loco goes for a double leg but Kutvonen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kutvonen continues to drive forward.

Kutvonen appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Horrible takedown attempt by Loco or perhaps it was just good defense by Kutvonen, which made it look bad.
