Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Henry Kilmer! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrei Arshavin! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kilmer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Arshavin misses with a double jab.

Kilmer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kilmer wants to pass the guard but Arshavin is keeping the position. Arshavin can't keep his opponent in guard - Kilmer advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kilmer wants to take a breather but Arshavin is having none of it. Kilmer is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kilmer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Arshavin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kilmer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kilmer is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Arshavin sees it coming and defends easily. Arshavin looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kilmer works his way into side control. Arshavin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kilmer asserts his dominance and retains side control. Arshavin is not content to let Kilmer control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kilmer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Arshavin is trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kilmer has hold of Arshavin's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Arshavin seems comfortable defending it but Kilmer has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Arshavin is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Arshavin is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kilmer couldn't care less - he's delighted!
