The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brockington shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ridgewood but Ridgewood pushes him off and we're back to square one.
As Brockington backs off Ridgewood throws a huge counter combo but Brockington manages to avoid it all.
Brockington has a takedown stuffed.

Brockington decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brockington wanted to stand there but Ridgewood had control of the position.

Brockington drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ridgewood manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brockington has Ridgewood in his guard.

Brockington wants to sweep here but Ridgewood controlling him for the moment.

Ridgewood is sitting in close to Brockington's body. Brockington has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Ridgewood is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Ridgewood is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Brockington.
