Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Peters (ranked 24262 p4p, 5125 weight class) and Brad Beaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josh Peters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 19 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brad Beaver! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peters with a lazy takedown attempt and Beaver moves into the clinch. Peters stalls. Beaver drags the fight down to the ground.
Beaver has his foot on Peters's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Peters works his way back into a safe position though. Peters trying to control but Beaver is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beaver has control of Peters's left arm, preventing Peters from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peters trying to control but Beaver is working from the bottom. Peters is looking to advance position but Beaver has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Beaver throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Beaver tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Beaver is standing up, even though he is in mount. Peters swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Beaver is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Beaver takes the fight into the clinch. Beaver is trying to drag Peters to the mat but Peters just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Beaver looks winded! Peters has had enough of the clinch but Beaver keeps him there for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beaver's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Peters pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Beaver counters with a nice kick to the body. Peters swings and misses with a shot to the body and Beaver moves into the clinch. Peters looks to throw an elbow but misses. Beaver stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Peters is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Beaver pulls him back up using the underhooks. Beaver drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Beaver closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Peters bucks up and tries to throw Beaver off but instead Beaver has got his back! Peters covering up well under a series of strikes from Beaver.

Peters trying to control the position but Beaver manages to sink in the hooks. Peters knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beaver on the ground. Peters trying to get back to his feet but Beaver is in full control for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Peters preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Beaver. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Brad Beaver dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Beaver fails with a takedown attempt from distance. It looked like Peters was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Peters shoots for a double leg takedown but Beaver sprawls well. He's pushed Peters's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nice sprawl there from Peters as Beaver shoots in. Peters closes the distance and clinches. Beaver tries to break the clinch but Peters is controlling the position. Beaver tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Peters avoids it. Beaver breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Beaver has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Peters misses with a head kick.

Josh Peters is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beaver pushes Peters up against the cage in a clinch. Beaver breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. No luck for Peters with that takedown attempt. Beaver has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Beaver is breathing heavily.

Beaver shoots in and drives through. Peters sprawls well. Josh Peters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Beaver. Beaver throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Peters shoots in for a double leg but Beaver sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Beaver tries to close the distance and clinch but Peters swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Peters tries to clinch up but Beaver circles away and keeps his distance. Peters fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Beaver swats away the attempt to clinch by Peters. Peters wants to clinch but Beaver slips to the side and Peters takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Peters looks for a takedown but Beaver sprawls well. Peters tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Beaver defends well and Peters ends up having to push Beaver into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Peters tries to score a body lock takedown but Beaver shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Peters can't break the clinch.
Peters wants to get back to striking at distance but Beaver won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Peters is working for takedown but Beaver is calmly controlling the position for now. Beaver breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Peters throws a lazy head kick and Beaver counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Beaver. Beaver ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Beaver no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Beaver keeping moving, preventing Peters from controlling successfully. Beaver is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Peters trying to control but Beaver is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beaver is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Peters trying to control but Beaver is working from the bottom. Beaver manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Peters manages to get himself to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Beaver throws a big right hand that misses. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Brad Beaver showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Beaver keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Peters. Beaver looks to land a combination but Peters avoids it well. Peters uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Beaver. Beaver circles away from the clinch attempt.

Peters throws out a leg kick but Beaver moves out of range and Peters only half commits. Peters closes the distance and pushes Beaver back into the cage. Beaver gets underhooks to prevent Peters's takedown attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Peters tries to break the clinch but Beaver is controlling the position. Beaver changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Peters fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Peters shoots in and drives through. Beaver sprawls well. Peters wants to clinch up but Beaver keeps it at a distance. Beaver tries to score a power double leg takedown but Peters sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Beaver somewhat. Peters is trying hard to land a takedown here. Beaver sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Beaver is looking for the big counter here. Beaver clinches. Peters is trying to pull guard but Beaver has him pressed against the cage. Beaver breaks from the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peters fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Beaver, pushing him back against the cage. Peters blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Beaver lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Peters is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Peters is trying to pull guard but Beaver turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Beaver breaks the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Peters tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Beaver shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Peters defends it nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Brad Beaver comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Beaver has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
