Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex King (ranked 5564 p4p, 25028 weight class) and Kyu Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alex King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kyu Lee!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee doesn't succeed with the takedown
and King counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Kyu Lee has been cut.
King misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lee is trying to counter with his kicks.

Lee moves into range and clinches up with King.
King tries to pull guard but Lee forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
King jumps guard but Lee stands there with King around his waist. King gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lee lands a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee scores with a hook to the body.
Lee throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
King tries to pull guard but Lee won't allow it.

Lee has picked King up - he's going for a ride! Lee dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Lee tries to stand but his hand is stuck under King.
King tries to get to full guard but Lee has control of the leg.
Lee not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Lee is keen to just control but King is a slippery customer.
Lee stops King from getting back to his feet.
King is breathing heavily.

Lee looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King is refusing to be controlled, as Lee sits in half guard.

Lee stands up out of the half guard.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
King is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A bit of stalling here from Lee.

Lee utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Lee pressing his opponent against the cage.
Lee lands a hook that snaps the head of King backwards.
Lee lands a good knee to the midsection. King won't want to take too many of those.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Lee lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Lee scores a nice knee to the body.
King gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lee.

Lee has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics King uses from the top position.
Lee throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
King won't allow Lee to get back to his feet.
King loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lee is looking for a triangle but King pushes his legs off easily.

Lee looking for a guillotine here but King defends easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lee is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kyu Lee dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kyu Lee's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

King tries to close the distance and clinch but Lee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. King tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. King manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
King plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Lee forces King back against the cage and clinches.
King struggles to land a body shot inside as Lee controls his hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee tries a body shot but King blocks it.
King fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Lee ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lee no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Lee is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've been informed that Lee has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
King would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Lee thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Lee throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Lee is controlling King's posture.
King stopping the sweep attempt from Lee.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lee is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. King is aware though and is defending well.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Lee drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
King bucks up and tries to throw Lee off but instead Lee has got his back!
Kyu Lee has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A lull in the action here.
King turns into Lee and is now in his guard.
Lee will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
King prevents Lee from getting back to his feet.

Lee has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. King is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lee.

Lee is looking for a sweep.
King misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Lee wants to control but King postures up.

King tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no King has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lee can't do much from the bottom here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lee is not content to let King control the position.
Lee is looking for a sweep.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

King decides to stand back up. King steps back and let's Lee get back to his feet.
King misses with a takedown
and Lee counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. King is lucky that one didn't land flush.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alex King will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

A nice combination there by Lee.

King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side.
Lee tries to counter with a clinch but King shakes him off and moves away.
King fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lee gets a clinch.
Lee lands a nice elbow.
Lee softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Lee.
A right hand to the body from Lee.
Lee pushes King back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Lee pulls guard effortlessly.

Lee is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lee is trying to control the position but King postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Lee tries for a takedown but King sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. King tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. King manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Alex King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lee moves into the clinch successfully.
King has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Kyu Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Kyu Lee rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
