Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Dinklage (ranked 430 p4p, 1485 weight class) and Derek Trucks (ranked 55 p4p, 218 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Dinklage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Derek Trucks!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dinklage throws out a powerful jab.
Trucks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dinklage moves into range and clinches up with Trucks.
Trucks fails to pull guard.
Trucks tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Trucks tries for a takedown but Dinklage manages to get underhooks.
Peter Dinklage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derek Trucks.
Trucks is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dinklage gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Trucks is trying to pull guard but Dinklage turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Trucks jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dinklage walks away with a smile on his face. Trucks gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Dinklage throws a big counter combination but Trucks scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Trucks has Dinklage pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dinklage manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Trucks ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Trucks no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Dinklage wants to control from the top but Trucks keeps moving.
Dinklage tries to stand but Trucks is controlling from the bottom.
Trucks isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dinklage stacks Trucks on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dinklage!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dinklage will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Dinklage really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Trucks has his foot on Dinklage's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dinklage works his way back into a safe position though.
Trucks had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dinklage defends it easily.
Dinklage decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Trucks, up you get!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Trucks has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dinklage is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Dinklage dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Trucks. That did some damage!

Trucks walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Dinklage takes a swing at Trucks's ribcage but misses.
Peter Dinklage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Trucks is rocked!
That has opened up Derek Trucks's cut even more.
Dinklage has closed the distance and engaged Trucks in a clinch.
Trucks is still on wobbly legs! Can Dinklage finish him?
Dinklage breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dinklage plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Trucks to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Trucks just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
