Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kern Hals (ranked 5688 p4p, 3037 weight class) and Albert Stevens (ranked 182 p4p, 97 weight class). Stevens has chosen Fat Albert as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kern Hals! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Albert Stevens! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hals shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stevens pinned against the cage. Stevens gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hals keeps the fight on the outside. As Stevens looks to move away, Hals throws a big counter combo but Stevens just gets out of the way. Kern Hals seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stevens drops Hals with a beautiful combination! Hals stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Stevens is looking for the KO!
Hals is rocked!
It looks like Kern Hals has been cut. Hals looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stevens is fending him off so far but Hals persists. Nope, Stevens circles away and we're back to standing. Oh Hals is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hals fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stevens, pushing him back against the cage. Hals seems to have got his legs back now. Hals stalling against the cage.
Stevens manages to pull guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stevens is trying to keep Hals in close.
Hals is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hals is one step ahead there. Hals pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stevens is keeping the position for now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hals accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hals gets to his feet - Stevens follows without any prompting.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. A solid leg kick lands there for Hals.
Stevens shoots for a double leg takedown but Hals sprawls well. He's pushed Stevens's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hals looks to score with a jab to the body but Stevens is just out of range. Hals shoots for a takedown but Stevens saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Stevens feints the counter takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kern Hals. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hals avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hals lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Stevens tries to keep at a distance but Hals has taken the fight into the clinch. Hals tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stevens smiles and moves away.
Oooooh!!! Stevens has knocked Hals down with a huge combo! Stevens steps away and waves a wobbly Hals back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hals shoots in for a takedown but Stevens shows good takedown defense. A big right followed by a crushing left from Stevens knocks Hals out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Albert Stevens! In his post fight interview, Albert Stevens gave a big smile as he said 'HEY HEY HEY. It's FAT ALBERT.'.
