And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michal Sykora!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sykora scores with a nice body kick.
Phillips moves in looking to clinch but Sykora pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Phillips looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sykora shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Phillips napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sykora looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Phillips is trying to improve his position.
Sykora has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Phillips is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sykora yanks on the arm and Phillips is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sykora.
