Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Klauss (ranked 3450 p4p, 2882 weight class) and Jim Longchain (ranked 408 p4p, 345 weight class). Jim Longchain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jan Klauss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jim Longchain! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Longchain ducks under a wild hook from Klauss. No joy there for Klauss, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Longchain now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Klauss looks to throw the jab but Longchain is out of range. Longchain throws a counter combo. Klauss looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Longchain! But no joy. Klauss moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Jim Longchain has been cut. Klauss throws a series of punches but Longchain moves out of range. Klauss misses with a double jab.
Klauss swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Despite the aggression on Longchain's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Klauss rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Longchain moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Longchain swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Klauss misses with a combination
and Longchain counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Klauss utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Longchain stands and throws Klauss's legs to the side, diving into side control. Longchain lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Klauss is breathing heavily. Sloppy strikes there by Longchain. Klauss is letting Longchain control him for a moment. Longchain landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Longchain has hold of Klauss's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Klauss seems comfortable defending it but Longchain has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Klauss is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Klauss is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Longchain couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jim Longchain!
