Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shape Shifter (ranked 1152 p4p, 3167 weight class) and Jerricho Patterson (ranked 165 p4p, 391 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Patterson throws a hook but Shifter avoids it easily.
Patterson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shifter circles away quickly and effectively.
Shifter attempts a counter takedown but Patterson avoids it well and moves away.
We've been informed that Patterson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
The fighters circling - Patterson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Patterson stuffs the takedown.

Patterson cracks Shifter with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Patterson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Shifter to stand back up!
Shifter gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Patterson gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Shifter is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jerricho Patterson!
