Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon Sterling (ranked 2096 p4p, 4172 weight class) and Smack Dre (ranked 131 p4p, 233 weight class). Sterling comes to the cage accompanied by ILovE. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Sterling ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Smack Dre! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dre throws a shot to the body.
Sterling throws a hook but Dre blocks it. Sterling misses with a looping right. Dre turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Dre lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dre dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sterling . That did some damage! Nice body kick from Dre. Dre lands a nice shot to the body.
Dre uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sterling . Dre chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Dre has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Dre lands a front kick. Sterling throws the left hand but Dre avoids the punch easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sterling tries to keep at a distance but Dre has taken the fight into the clinch. Dre working some nice short punches in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dre lands with a short shot to the head. Dre lands a body punch. Dre lands with a short head shot on the inside. Dre lands with a light punch inside. Dre lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A shot in the inside from Dre. Dre leaning his opponent against the cage. Dre digs a right hand underneath Sterling 's ribcage. Sterling let out a lung full of air as it connected. Dre cracks Sterling with a nice body shot. Sterling takes a shot to the head. Sterling tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dre just stands there and leans against the cage. A short right from Dre on the inside. This has been an exciting period of action! Dre works on Sterling 's body with a couple of short punches. Sterling is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Dre. Sterling fails to pull guard.
Sterling really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dre pushes Sterling back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Sterling has Dre pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dre manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Sterling . That's going to take a lot out of him. Dre digs a right hand into Sterling 's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sterling 's gas tank. Nice body punch from Dre - that landed with a thud.
Dre has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sterling uses from the top position. Dre has his foot on Sterling 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sterling works his way back into a safe position though. Dre is looking for a triangle but Sterling pushes his legs off easily.
Dre isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sterling stacks Dre on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sterling ! Dre is looking to regain half guard here but Sterling keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sterling working away. Dre is trying to improve his position. Dre struggling a bit here. Sterling is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dre is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dre wants to control but Sterling postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dre regains half guard. Dre controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. We've been hearing that Sterling has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Dre looking for submissions off his back. Dre is trying to get back to full guard. Sterling is thwarting Dre's attempts to control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Smack Dre dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Dre chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Dre thuds his shin into the meat of Sterling 's side. A nice inside leg kick there by Dre. That's going to slow Sterling down. Dre connects with a leg kick. Dre lands a nice looking body shot.
Dre throws a good cross that connects.
Sterling misses with a lunging right hand
and Dre counters with a nice leg kick. Dre scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dre is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sterling is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Sterling is trying to improve his position. Dre tries for a kimura but Sterling is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dre working away. Dre is working to tighten his grip on Sterling 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sterling has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dre is really squeezing tight and eventually Sterling passes out! Dre breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
