Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jouko Kauppinen (ranked 4570 p4p, 3472 weight class) and Andrzej Bebok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrzej Bebok will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jouko Kauppinen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andrzej Bebok! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kauppinen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kauppinen forces Bebok back against the cage and clinches. Both guys are working to get underhooks. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bebok has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Kauppinen prevents a body shot from Bebok. Bebok is trying to pull guard but Kauppinen has him pressed against the cage. Bebok is looking for a takedown. Kauppinen is trying to force a seperation but Bebok has the dominant position. Kauppinen is trying to break free. Bebok breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bebok dodges the punch combination from Kauppinen.

Bebok fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kauppinen on the side of the head. Jouko Kauppinen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kauppinen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jouko Kauppinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kauppinen throws a nice looking combination but Bebok bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kauppinen digs a good body shot into Bebok's ribs. Kauppinen scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Bebok fails with a takedown attempt. Kauppinen is looking for a counter combo. Bebok takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kauppinen connects with a body shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! Bebok lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kauppinen's sensitive parts. Kauppinen slaps away a takedown attempt from Bebok, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kauppinen scores with a jab to the jaw. Kauppinen scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Kauppinen misses with a combination

Bebok tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kauppinen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bebok somewhat.

Bebok pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kauppinen lands the left hand. Bebok ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kauppinen moves away. Sloppy strikes from Kauppinen. Those never looked like landing.

Kauppinen throws a lazy right hand but Bebok sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bebok fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kauppinen avoids it really well and circles away. Bebok shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kauppinen as he avoids it easily. Kauppinen shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bebok eats them both and turns towards Kauppinen to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A combination from Kauppinen does no damage. Bebok throws a big counter head kick but Kauppinen avoids it with no problem. A nice combination there by Kauppinen.
Nice body punch from Kauppinen. Bebok keeps Kauppinen at a distance using the push kick. Kauppinen chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Bebok clobbers Kauppinen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Kauppinen throws a series of punches but Bebok avoids them all with ease. Kauppinen has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Bebok shoots in but no luck this time. Kauppinen throws a shot from downtown. Bebok moves away and avoids it. Bebok unleashes a big counter combination but Kauppinen bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Kauppinen lands a jab to the head.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bebok is defended easily by Kauppinen. A lazy left from Kauppinen finds it's target.
And that's the end of the fight! Jouko Kauppinen showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kauppinen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
