Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barny fails with the takedown.

Barny drops down looking for an ankle pick but Stankov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Barny's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Barny's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Stankov lands a leg kick that knocks Barny off balance momentarily.
Stankov digs a good hook to Barny's body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stankov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Stankov throws a leg kick which misses Barny's front leg but catches the back leg as Barny tries to avoid it.
Stankov stuns Barny with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Stankov feints and then cracks Barny's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Barny down.
Barny doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Stankov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Stankov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Barny manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stankov is defended easily by Barny.

Stankov fakes the leg kick and cracks Barny in the body.
Barny sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

and Stankov counters with a series of strikes. Barny will be more careful next time no doubt.
Stankov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Stankov lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Barny's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A slapping body kick lands there for Stankov.

Stankov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Barny. That did some damage!
Stankov scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Stankov works over Barny's head and body with a nice combination.
We've been told by Stankov's head coaches at Island Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Barny is trying desperately to land a takedown but Stankov is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Barny.

Stankov clobbers Barny with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Stankov lands a glancing blow to the side of Barny's head.

Barny is still on wobbly legs! Can Stankov finish him?
Stankov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Stankov jabs at Barny's body.
Stankov connects with a right that clearly hurt Barny. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Stankov proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Barny collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Borislaw Stankov!
Blessed Barny was interviewed post fight and said 'He didnt want to grapple tho'.
