Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Flash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shepherd Booke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeff Flash has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeff Flash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shepherd Booke!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Booke gets caught flat footed, as Flash shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Booke looking for a sweep. Not yet Booke, not yet.
Booke has his hands on Flash's head, controlling the position.

Flash is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Booke is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Booke has escaped and now he's on top!
Booke wants to control from the top but Flash keeps moving.
Flash looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Flash is looking for a triangle but Booke pushes his legs off easily.
Booke wants to control from the top but Flash keeps moving.

Flash throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Flash escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Booke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Flash tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Booke trying to control but Flash is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Booke misses with a body kick.

Booke gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Booke looking to control.
Flash trying to control but Booke is working from the bottom.
Booke throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Booke bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Flash's guard.

Flash wants to sweep here but Booke controlling him for the moment.
Flash controls Booke momentarily but Booke frees himself.

Flash has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Booke can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Booke tries to stand but Flash is controlling from the bottom.
Booke throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Booke avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Flash has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Booke has passed into side control.
Flash tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Booke wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Booke gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Flash counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Booke wants to stand up but Flash is controlling him.
Flash trying to control but Booke is working from the bottom.
Flash postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Flash is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Booke is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Booke has escaped and now he's on top!

Flash escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Booke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Flash is breathing heavily.

Flash kicks Booke off and gets to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Flash closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Booke wants to control but Flash postures up.

Booke bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Booke is looking to clinch.

Booke gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Flash is trying to improve his position.
Flash is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Booke's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Booke passes to side control.

Booke stands up and beckons Flash to his feet.
Jeff Flash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Flash scores a takedown into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Flash's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Booke closes the distance but Flash moves to the side

and Flash counters with a single leg into guard. Booke didn't expect that.

Flash drops back looking for a leg! Booke is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Booke manages to kick Flash off! Flash jumps back into Booke's guard.
Booke looking to control.
Booke wants to sweep but no luck.
Booke wants to stand and escape but Flash is having none of it.

Flash drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Booke manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Flash has Booke in his guard.
Booke slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Booke trying to control the position from guard on top but Flash is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Flash working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Booke doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Booke manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Booke working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Flash's head.

Flash looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Flash is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Flash has his hands on Booke's head, controlling the position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Booke is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Flash looking for a guillotine here but Booke defends easily.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Flash looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Booke!
Booke bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Flash is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Flash manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Booke manages to get himself to full guard.

Booke had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Flash is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Booke Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Flash's back instead.

Flash tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Booke lands a big shot there that rocks Flash but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Flash tries to reverse the position but Booke maintains control.
Booke avoids the attempt from Flash to control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Flash reaches up to try and control the position but Booke seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Flash rolls and tries to escape and now Booke has his back!

I really don't envy Flash right now.
Booke is looking to control Flash but Flash is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Flash tries to escape but Booke has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Flash breaks Booke's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Flash postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Booke to stand up.

Flash changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Booke looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Flash is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Booke has escaped the position, nice work there.
Booke pushes Flash away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Flash gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Flash throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Booke works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jeff Flash showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Flash has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
