Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joukani checks a low kick from Gomez.
We've been told by Gomez's head coaches at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Gomez throws a right hand that misses
letting Joukani counter with a right hand.

Gomez moves into the clinch successfully.

Joukani breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gomez.
Schwartz Gomez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomez lands a head shot.
Gomez misses with a combination
and Joukani counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gomez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Joukani stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Joukani takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Joukani blocks a jab.
Gomez misses with an uppercut
and Joukani counters with a lovely shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Joukani bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gomez scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Joukani walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

A cross from Gomez lands.
Gomez doesn't manage to clinch there - Joukani circles away.
Joukani blocks a head kick by Gomez.
Joukani slips a straight right by Gomez.
Joukani is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gomez.
Gomez throws a sloppy head kick
enabling Joukani to counter with a crisp jab.
Gomez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Gomez misses with a double jab.
Gomez throws a lazy head kick
and Joukani counters with a series of strikes. Gomez will be more careful next time no doubt.

Gomez is rocked!
Gomez throws a lazy right hand but Joukani sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Oh Gomez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Joukani throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Gomez is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

In his post fight interview, Rou Joukani started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
