Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason The King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kevin The KnockOut! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The King shoots for a double leg takedown but The KnockOut sprawls well. He's pushed The King's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from The King. The KnockOut shrugs it off though. The King tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The King shoots for a double leg takedown but The KnockOut sprawls well. The KnockOut tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but The King defends well and The KnockOut ends up having to push The King into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. The King fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason The King. That's going to take a lot out of him. The King clinches up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The King manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The King is trying to force a seperation but The KnockOut has the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. The KnockOut blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The KnockOut breaks from the clinch.
The KnockOut instigates a clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. The King breaks the clinch.
The King tries to keep at a distance but The KnockOut has taken the fight into the clinch. The King goes for a takedown attempt but The KnockOut pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The KnockOut shoots in and gets a takedown into The King's guard. The King scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The King shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. The KnockOut defends it nicely. The KnockOut tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. The KnockOut throws a body kick that misses. The KnockOut leaves The King with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The King fails with the takedown and The KnockOut counters with a nice double leg into side control. The King won't be happy with that. The King is breathing heavily. The KnockOut tries to advance to mount but The King denies him. The KnockOut in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The King is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but The KnockOut is one step ahead and moves to full mount! The King keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The KnockOut controlling his opponent. The referee warns The King that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The KnockOut is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. The King can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The King is in all sorts of trouble here.
The KnockOut putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The KnockOut has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The KnockOut throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! The King has his hands clasped together but The KnockOut breaks the hold and The King is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by The KnockOut!
