Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keelen Pinkney (ranked 4640 p4p, 4219 weight class) and Doug Funny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Funny has chosen Throw some D's on it as his entrance music. Keelen Pinkney has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keelen Pinkney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Doug Funny! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pinkney drives through with a takedown into Funny's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Funny manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Pinkney ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pinkney no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Pinkney trying to control the position here. Pinkney lands a decent shot there. Funny looking to pass the guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Funny's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Funny wants to control from the top but Pinkney keeps moving. Pinkney pulls Funny in to control the position. Funny makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Pinkney is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Funny slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pinkney seems keen to control Funny's posture. Funny throws a big elbow that misses. Pinkney wants to stand but Funny is controlling the position. Pinkney working a defensive guard here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Pinkney looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Funny is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Funny wants to control from the top but Pinkney keeps moving. Funny sitting in guard here, content to control. Pinkney on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pinkney tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. It looks like Funny might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Funny closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Funny has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Funny trying to mount his opponent but Pinkney defends it. Funny is trying to control. Pinkney wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Funny trying to mount his opponent but Pinkney defends it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Pinkney wants to get back to full guard. Funny seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Pinkney has hold of Funny's hands but Funny slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pinkney tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Funny is figuring out what he wants to do next. Nice strikes from Funny there. Funny scoring with strikes to the body and head. Funny scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Funny takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Funny winds up and cracks Pinkney with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Nice strikes from Funny there. Pinkney looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Pinkney is breathing heavily. Funny lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Pinkney is rocked! Funny scores with a big shot! Pinkney's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Pinkney! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Doug Funny! Doug Funny seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
