Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Georges StPierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Tompkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). StPierre's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Moriner 4 Life. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Tompkins! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tompkins connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between StPierre's hands. Tompkins throws a series of punches but StPierre avoids them all with ease. Tompkins misses with a straight right. StPierre checks a leg kick nicely. StPierre closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tompkins circles away. StPierre scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Tompkins throws a combination but it was largely blocked by StPierre. StPierre fails to land the takedown. Tompkins misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Tompkins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. StPierre is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tompkins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tompkins has escaped and now he's on top! Tompkins controls the pace of the fight for a moment. StPierre throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
StPierre had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tompkins is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. StPierre Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tompkins's back instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. StPierre gets his hands free as Tompkins looks to control. Tompkins is trying to stand back up. StPierre is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Tompkins defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. StPierre looking for the choke from the back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
