Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Malaya Zemlya (ranked 3457 p4p, 3525 weight class) and Mathew Hayes (ranked 424 p4p, 430 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mathew Hayes!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes lands with a slapping head kick.
Zemlya slips a straight right by Hayes.
Hayes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zemlya shoots for a double leg takedown but Hayes sprawls well. He's pushed Zemlya's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Zemlya drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hayes is trying to get back to his feet.
Hayes told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zemlya looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Zemlya has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Zemlya is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hayes has escaped the position, nice work there.
Zemlya wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hayes, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hayes is pushing Zemlya's head away, looking to escape. Zemlya manages to hold on to the position though.
Hayes is being controlled here.
Zemlya is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hayes looks calm but he's in trouble here. Zemlya gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hayes is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Zemlya lets go of the hold and Hayes can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Malaya Zemlya!
