Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Khairul Irfan (ranked 2570 p4p, 2275 weight class) and Michael Chandler (ranked 324 p4p, 297 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Chandler!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irfan defending well as Chandler loads up on a big left hand.
Michael Chandler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Irfan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Chandler to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Chandler avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Chandler works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Irfan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Irfan tries to get out of the position.
Chandler trying to pass the guard but Irfan defending well.

Chandler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chandler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Irfan has managed to free his arm - good work.

Chandler is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Irfan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chandler.
Chandler thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Irfan's head.

Irfan won't allow Chandler to pass to mount.
Chandler lands with a punch from half guard.
Chandler scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Chandler not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Chandler is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Chandler passes to side control.

Irfan is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Irfan's coaches at Total Training Studio have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Chandler grinds an elbow into Irfan's temple.
Chandler in side control lands a decent elbow.

Chandler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chandler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Chandler looks up at the clock and then as Irfan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Chandler smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Irfan pushes Chandler away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Chandler gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Chandler moves into full mount!
Irfan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chandler on the ground.
Chandler is landing with some decent strikes but Irfan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Chandler with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Chandler lands a nice shot to the head.

Chandler is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Irfan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Irfan shrugs it off.

Chandler is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Irfan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Chandler lands a heavy elbow.

Irfan is rocked!
Chandler softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Irfan is out cold! Chandler jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Michael Chandler was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
