Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helen Salvacion (ranked 24057 p4p, 6527 weight class) and Virgin Mary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Helen Salvacion could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Virgin Mary's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Virgin Mary! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Mary closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Mary throws an elbow but Salvacion slips to the side and avoids it well. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Mary decides to stand back up. Mary steps back and let's Salvacion get back to his feet. Mary fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Salvacion to the ground. Mary is now in Salvacion's guard. Mary stands and steps away. Salvacion gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Mary misses with a takedown attempt - Salvacion sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Salvacion swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mary sprawls well. Mary wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Salvacion gets slowly back to his feet. Salvacion tries for a takedown but Mary sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mary appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Mary shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helen Salvacion. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mary throws a body kick that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mary fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Salvacion sprawls well initially but Mary persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Salvacion manages to escape and get back to his feet! Salvacion fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mary flicks out a counter leg kick but Salvacion steps away. Mary fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Salvacion to the ground. Mary is now in Salvacion's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mary throws a big elbow that misses. Mary is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mary wants to stand and escape but instead Salvacion has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Salvacion prevents Mary from getting back to his feet. Salvacion trying to control but Mary is working from the bottom. Mary pushes Salvacion off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mary shoots in and bounces Salvacion off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mary tries to stand but Salvacion is controlling from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mary is fighting to break Salvacion's control of his arms but Salvacion is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Virgin Mary dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Salvacion dives in for a single leg takedown but Mary sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Mary breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mary has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Mary shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mary steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. A slapping leg kick lands for Mary.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion shoots in and bounces Mary off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mary seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mary is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Salvacion is controlling him. Mary is controlling Salvacion's posture.

Virgin Mary showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mary as he jumps to the side. Mary steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Nice takedown defense from Salvacion. No joy for Mary on that attempt. Salvacion shoots for a double leg takedown but Mary sprawls well. He's pushed Salvacion's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mary. Salvacion being controlled for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mary decides to stand back up. Mary scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Mary decides to stand up, so the ref orders Salvacion to his feet. Salvacion throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Mary thinks about the counter body kick.

Salvacion tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mary defends well and Salvacion ends up having to push Mary into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Mary breaks from the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Salvacion gets tackled into the cage by Mary. Mary maintains the clinch. Virgin Mary is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mary breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Helen Salvacion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Salvacion drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mary dodges the ground and pound from Salvacion.
And that's the end of the fight! Virgin Mary comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mary has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
