Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julian Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Shannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shannigan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Slaughtered - Pantera. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julian Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Shannigan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter throws a series of punches but Shannigan avoids them all with ease.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Shannigan and Carter goes tumbling to the canvas! Shannigan follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Carter is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carter throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Shannigan manages to pass to side control.
Oh Carter is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shannigan controlling the position from side mount.
Carter seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carter tries to buck Shannigan off but Shannigan is having none of it.
Carter wants to control but Shannigan postures up.
Carter seems a little lost for a moment, as Shannigan dominates the positioning.
Carter is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Shannigan is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter is trying to improve his position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Carter shoots in looking for a takedown. Shannigan tries to sprawl out of it but Carter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shannigan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice body punch from Shannigan.
Carter is breathing heavily.
Shannigan has managed to clinch.
Shannigan content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Shannigan wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Shannigan lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Carter wants a takedown but no success here.
Shannigan is looking to break free of the clinch but Carter has double underhooks.
Shannigan wants to break free but Carter has control.
Carter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julian Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shannigan wants to stall.
Shannigan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Carter has him pressed against the cage.
Shannigan stalling in the clinch.
Carter tries to score a body lock takedown but Shannigan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Carter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Shannigan waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Carter. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Carter to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shannigan passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Shannigan controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shannigan stands up.
Carter closes the distance but Shannigan moves to the side
and Carter is countered with a crisp right hand from Shannigan that sends him to the canvas! Shannigan follows him to the mat into side control.
Shannigan decides to stand back up. Shannigan steps back and let's Carter get back to his feet.
Shannigan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shannigan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Shannigan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Carter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carter drops his hands momentarily. Shannigan doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Carter staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Carter doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tommy Shannigan!
