Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Volko (ranked 4194 p4p, 4892 weight class) and Leroy Jenkins (ranked 500 p4p, 531 weight class). Jenkins is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Scatman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Volko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leroy Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Volko lands a left and a right that sends Jenkins crashing to the canvas! Volko dives into mount looking to finish!

It looks like Leroy Jenkins has been cut.
The referee warns Jenkins that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Jenkins is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jenkins avoids a series of strikes thrown by Volko.
Jenkins is still in real trouble! Can Volko finish him?

Jenkins moves out of range as Volko throws a body kick.

Volko drops his shoulder and cracks Jenkins with a huge uppercut! Jenkins goes down! Can Volko finish him?

That has opened up Leroy Jenkins's cut even more.
We've been hearing good reports from Volko's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Jenkins scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jenkins gets caught flat footed, as Volko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Volko dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jenkins. That did some damage!

Volko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Frank Volko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Volko scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Volko throwing strikes but Jenkins manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Volko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jenkins stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Jenkins changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Volko manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jenkins on his heels. He'll look to pass Jenkins's guard now, I'm sure.

Jenkins has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Volko is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Volko lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jenkins backwards.

Volko throws a looping overhand right but Jenkins ducks down to avoid it.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jenkins gets to his feet. Volko looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That was a close second round but I would say that Frank Volko will probably get the nod.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Volko lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jenkins has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jenkins and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jenkins has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Volko has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Leroy Jenkins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Volko has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
