The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Masvidal rushes Poporovkov and presses him up against the cage.

Masvidal's coach down at Navy Street MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Masvidal's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Masvidal takes a knee right on the jaw!
Masvidal is looking to break free of the clinch but Poporovkov has double underhooks.
Poporovkov lands a knee to the body.

Poporovkov drops Masvidal with a big knee straight up the middle! Masvidal is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

It looks like Jorge Masvidal has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Poporovkov moves into the clinch.
Masvidal is still on wobbly legs! Can Poporovkov finish him?
Poporovkov working the clinch nicely. Masvidal is working for position but Poporovkov cracks him with a big knee to the head! Masvidal crumples up against the cage and Poporovkov lands two more shots before the ref can save Masvidal! This one is all over!

Jorge Masvidal was interviewed post fight and said 'He showed up with a normal nose, and left with a broken one. If I get more time, I'll take his f*cking head clean off!'.
