Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Lincoln (ranked 5340 p4p, 6218 weight class) and Sickle Cell (ranked 162 p4p, 188 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chad Lincoln !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sickle Cell!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cell closes the distance and clinches.
Cell wants to break the clinch but can't.

Lincoln has Cell pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lincoln pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cell tumbling to the mat - Lincoln dives into Cell's guard.
Cell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lincoln gets to his feet. Cell looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Lincoln shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Lincoln is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cell defends it well.

Cell wants to control but Lincoln is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Cell tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Lincoln has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Lincoln controlling the pace for now.
Cell tries to control Lincoln 's body but Lincoln pushes him off. Cell squirms to his side and now Lincoln has his back!

Lincoln is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Cell knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Cell for a finish.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Cell wants to get back to his feet.

Lincoln keeps control of the position easily here as Cell tries to buck him off.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cell is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Cell trying to control the hands but Lincoln breaks the grip.

Lincoln misses with a punch to the head.
You can see the frustration on Cell's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

It looks like Sickle Cell has been cut.
Lincoln gets his hands free as Cell looks to control.

Lincoln is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Cell has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lincoln is riding his opponent, not letting Cell buck him off.

Cell will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Cell should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Lincoln decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cell, up you get!

Lincoln tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lincoln somewhat.
Lincoln looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cell shoots in for a takedown but Lincoln shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Chad Lincoln has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sickle Cell.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cell is on top in guard.

Cell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lincoln does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cell shoots for a double leg takedown but Lincoln sprawls well. He's pushed Cell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lincoln is one step ahead there.

Lincoln stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cell swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sickle Cell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chad Lincoln is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
