These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel is looking to land body kicks.
Kapisi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kapisi throws a nice looking combination but Steel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A jab from Steel misses.
Kapisi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kapisi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kapisi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steel moves away.
Steel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Steel throws a head kick that misses.
Kapisi looks to score with a jab to the body but Steel is just out of range.
Kapisi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kapisi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kapisi there as he acknowledges the shot.
Steel connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Steel pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Steel was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Steel lands with a hook. Kapisi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kapisi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kapisi misses with a wild body shot.
Kapisi misses with a looping left.
Nice straight punches there by Kapisi. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kapisi.

Kapisi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Steel has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Kapisi lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Steel misses the shot to the body.
It looked like Kapisi was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Steel.
Kapisi scores with a decent looking hook.
Steel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A counter left hand to the body from Kapisi misses its target.
Kapisi throws a hook to the side of Steel's head but Steel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Good exchange - Kapisi coming out on top.

Kapisi lands a left and a right that send Steel crashing to the mat, dazed. Kapisi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Steel is rocked!

It looks like Jerome Steel has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kapisi lands a slapping body shot.
Steel is still on wobbly legs! Can Kapisi finish him?
Steel swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kapisi.
Steel seems to have recovered his senses.
Steel gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Kapisi gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Steel is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
