The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nowak is defended easily by Orlov.

Nowak throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Orlov was covering up waiting for the punch and Nowak finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Orlov looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Nowak is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Orlov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Orlov has escaped and now he's on top!

Nowak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Orlov defends it easily.

Nowak has his foot on Orlov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Orlov works his way back into a safe position though.

Nowak postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Orlov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nowak, into his guard.

Orlov gets to his feet and stands over Nowak, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Nowak felt that one! Orlov unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Nowak from any more punishment!
