The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maguire fails in his attempt to clinch.
Michael OMalley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maguire fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Maguire gets caught napping as OMalley dives in and scores a takedown. Maguire manages to retain guard.
OMalley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maguire swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Maguire is trying to control the position but OMalley postures up.
OMalley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
OMalley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
OMalley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maguire trying to keep a closed guard but OMalley is proving a slippery customer.
OMalley scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
OMalley loads up on a big left hand. Maguire felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - OMalley looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Maguire can't hide his disappointment, as OMalley celebrates the victory.
