Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Motshan Bogachev (ranked 3372 p4p, 3641 weight class) and Pavel Sova (ranked 424 p4p, 449 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Motshan Bogachev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pavel Sova! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bogachev scores with a push kick. Sova misses with a shot to the body and Bogachev cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bogachev pushes Sova away with a front kick. Sova throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bogachev's waist but Bogachev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sova off to one side. Bogachev tried to counter with a leg kick but Sova avoided it. Bogachev slaps away a takedown attempt from Sova, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sova looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Motshan Bogachev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pavel Sova. Nice defenses there by Bogachev. Sova shoots in and drives through. Bogachev sprawls well. Bogachev looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sova shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bogachev is trying to defend but Sova finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sova is just content to waste time from the top position. Bogachev takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sova looking to sit in guard and control but Bogachev gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bogachev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sova swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sova is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sova throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bogachev uses it to pass to side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sova is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bogachev off and has taken his back! Sova patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Sova is looking for the choke from the back position but Bogachev is controlling his hands well. Sova has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bogachev has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Sova is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Bogachev defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Sova looking to break Bogachev's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Bogachev remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sova will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! That's four minutes gone in the round. Sova working for a choke but Bogachev reverses nicely into Sova 's guard. Bogachev has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sova is trying to control the position but Bogachev postures up. Sova isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bogachev stacks Sova on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bogachev! Bogachev working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bogachev remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Sova is looking to reverse the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Motshan Bogachev dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Sova moves out of range of the strikes. Bogachev is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sova can do to turn this around? Sova misses with a takedown attempt letting Bogachev counter with a right hand. Pavel Sova seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sova with a poor takedown and Bogachev counters with a thumping low kick. Pavel Sova is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sova has his takedown stuffed and Bogachev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sova is rocked! Motshan Bogachev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pavel Sova. Sova tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bogachev defends well and Sova ends up having to push Bogachev into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Sova shoots for a takedown but Bogachev saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The fighters circle, before Bogachev throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Sova's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Bogachev lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
