Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gualberto Ortiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kendric Bazemore!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz misses with a leg kick.
Ortiz throws a head kick that half lands.
Bazemore will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
It looked like Ortiz was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Bazemore fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bazemore goes for a double leg but Ortiz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ortiz continues to drive forward.
Gualberto Ortiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kendric Bazemore.

Bazemore turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bazemore manages to end up in side control.

Bazemore has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Ortiz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ortiz reaches up and holds on to Bazemore to control the position.

Ortiz flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Ortiz tries to control Bazemore's head but Bazemore pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! Ortiz is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!
