Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adolfo Correia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kameron Scott!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Correia looking to score a takedown here. Scott is defending well but Correia drives through and ends up in Scott's guard.

Correia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Correia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Correia passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Correia is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Scott knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Correia is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Scott is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Correia is trying to get an arm triangle but Scott is defending well.
Scott is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Correia asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Correia is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Scott has escaped the position, nice work there.

Correia goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Scott has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Correia but great work by Scott.
Scott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Correia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Scott stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Scott wants to clinch up but Correia keeps it at a distance.

Scott tries to sprawl but Correia drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Correia wants to work for an arm triangle but Scott is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Correia is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Correia maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Scott could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Correia has cracked it and Scott is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Correia!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Adolfo Correia!
Adolfo Correia decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
